The restaurant at Rockvale House provides a breakfast menu, including a full English breakfast. In the evening, a menu with locally sourced ingredients is available. Breakfast time can be specified when ordering breakfast the night before, with usual times at 8:00, 8:30, or 9:00. Evening meals are served at a single sitting at 7:00 pm. Packed lunches are also available.
Leisure and Activities
Rockvale House offers a lounge. The town centre of Lynton is a 2-minute walk from Rockvale, where shops and tea rooms are available. Lynton is connected to Lynmouth by the Victorian water-powered Cliff Railway. The Valley of Rocks, just west of Lynton, is reachable by a 20-minute walk or a short car ride. Woody Bay, with refurbished engines and carriages, is near Woody Bay. Ilfracombe and Woolacombe sandy beaches are about 40 minutes by car.
Location and Transport
Rockvale House is on Hollerday Drive, off Lee Road, between the Town Hall and Lyn Valley Craft Centre, opposite the Costcutter supermarket. Lynton town center is a 2-minute walk away. Exeter International Airport is 100 km away. The easiest way to travel between Lynton and Lynmouth is via the Cliff Railway. To reach Rockvale House from the M5, take the longer but simpler route from J27 along the A361 and A399, then follow the A39 to Lynton.
Services at Rockvale House
Rockvale House offers several services. Rooms are available from 3:00 pm, and luggage can be left earlier if required. Rooms should be vacated by 10:30 am on the departure day. Clothes drying and washing services are available. Check-in time is between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. There are two single rooms with private bathrooms.
