The village of Brendon is surrounded by Exmoor scenery. It is 4 km to The Glen Lyn Gorge, 3.5 km to The Foreland, 2.5 km to Watersmeet House, 3.5 km to County Gate Car Park Exmoor, 4 km to Sister's Fountain, 2.5 km to Hoar Oak Water, 4 km to Foreland Point and 2.5 km to Wind Hill. After Porlock you will come up a steep hill with a tight u-bend and then cross the open moor. You will see the Bristol Channel with great views to your right. After the second cattle grid it is 4.7 miles to the Brendon turning on your left. If you are coming from South Devon, make your way to Tiverton. Pick up the A361 toward Barnstaple. Follow the road towards Lynton, you will go across open moors with amazing views.
