The Rockford Inn has rooms with comfortable beds and tea and coffee-making facilities and a TV. Guestrooms include all the amenities needed for a good night's sleep. Guests will find a kettle in the room. The cozy rooms include en suite bathrooms. There is a spacious room at the back of the inn with a restricted view. This compact room includes an en suite shower room, a TV, and tea/coffee making facilities. The luxury room is located in the oldest part of the building, dating back to 1643. This room overlooks the river. There is a light and airy compact Single Room with a shower. Each room also has ironing facilities and heating. Garden furniture and free toiletries are provided.

After Porlock you will come up a steep hill with a tight u-bend and then cross the open moor. You will see the Bristol Channel with great views to your right. After the second cattle grid it is 4.7 miles to the Brendon turning on your left. If you are coming from South Devon, make your way to Tiverton. Pick up the A361 toward Barnstaple. Follow the road towards Lynton, you will go across open moors with amazing views.
