Guests at The Crown Hotel often appreciate its ideal location in the centre of Lynton, making it easy to reach shops and other attractions. The breakfast is frequently mentioned as very good with plenty of choice, and evening meals in the pleasant dining room are also popular, featuring well-priced food. Some guests have noted that the older rooms could benefit from renovation, particularly the bathrooms. However, the hotel's traditional bar with its tremendous atmosphere and reasonable drink prices is a recurring highlight for many.

The staff was friendly. The room I booked was spacious. It had everything I expected from a hotel. Breakfast was tasty and the portions were generous.
My room was small. The bathroom was no more than 3 feet by 6 feet. The opening to the shower was just 12 inches. I needed to be a contortionist to get in the shower.
