adequate stay with some drawbacks
unstable water loud fan
the shower was a real problem. i couldn't get the temperature right. it was either way too hot or too cold (this was annoying). also, the extractor fan in the bathroom was loud. it stayed on for ages after use, even disturbing sleep because i could hear other guests using their bathrooms.

The location was great for walking to many places. I appreciated the proximity to shops and the golf course. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of options that suited different appetites. The air conditioning was a real plus given the warm weather.
The bathroom could use some updates.

great central stay
early check-in gluten-free choices daily cleaning central location
the staff quickly accommodated my early check-in (i arrived at 11 am). breakfast had many options, including gluten-free choices. my room had new towels, and the room was cleaned daily. the location was near many places i wanted to visit.
the building is older, so i could sometimes hear movement in rooms nearby, especially above.

unstable water disruptive noise
the shower in my room was a real issue the temperature fluctuated wildly. also, one of the windows wouldn't close properly i could hear all the street noise. it was quite disruptive, especially since the hotel is above a pub.

big room street view scottish breakfast
the room was big. it had two windows looking over the carpark. the breakfast included a full scottish. it also had cereals.
the shower wasn't good and the water temperature changed too fast. the bathroom fan made noise. there were no power sockets near the bed.

attentive service delicious breakfast central location
fiona's service at breakfast stood out she was attentive and helpful the cooked breakfast offered a delicious start to each day the location was central allowing easy access to many attractions it made exploring so simple
the shower's temperature was challenging it fluctuated between scalding and cold i struggled to find a comfortable setting
