the evening meal was not great. the menu stayed the same for both lunch and dinner (how unimaginative!). i was expecting something different, but i was stuck with the same options. it felt a bit lazy (to be honest).

Wonderful Wedding Celebration Stay

perfect stay comfy room excellent food

We booked a two night stay celebrating our daughter's weddingwith a lovely two course meal the first night. The wedding breakfast featured three courses and the wedding evening included bacon, sausage batches. chips. Housekeeping brought us fans as the comfy rooms had all needed amenities, but were a bit hot.

The staff proved very friendly and nothing seemed like too much trouble for them. Maria and Lizzie took great care of us in the restaurant and Rohan and Alistair worked hard behind the bar. Amber, the wedding coordinator, acted super friendly and even saved the day by grabbing the bridesmaids flowers from the room.

The hotel provided a perfect pit stop on our trip between England and Scotland as it stood just five minutes from the motorway. The grounds offer a beautiful setting. Guests could easily access nearby facilities.

The staff at this hotel were attentive. Our room was spacious and clean, with a nice seating area (it felt very cozy). I liked the hotel's proximity to local attractions, a real bonus. The breakfast was great, especially the selection of pastries.

I thought some areas of the hotel could use a bit of updating, but this was a minor detail.
