efficient stafffresh breakfastreally good featurefine view
The staff provided friendly efficient service. I enjoyed the freshly cooked breakfastwith a variety of buffet items. The building contained really good features, such as the lovely ladies' powder room. The grounds were well kept and litter free, with fine views.
The building is older, and I could hear noise from other rooms at times.

cramped roomsubpar pillows
The room i had (a "beautiful double room" no less) felt rather cramped. Maneuvering around the furniture was a challenge. the vegan breakfast options were disappointing. The selection seemed like an afterthought. the pillows were subpar too. I woke up with a stiff neck each morning. the check-in process was slow. There was no staff at the desk for an extended period, a rather strange start (i almost left!).

beautiful groundshelpful staffhigh walllong wait
i found the grounds to be beautiful, also the quiet environment was quite appealing. the front desk staff was helpful, also they were nice to me.
I noticed the room literally had a high wall for a view. This was not satisfactory. i had to wait 15 minutes to check-in though.

The staff were warm and friendly. it was like they genuinely wanted to ensure my stay was lovely. the grounds are amazing. The river is fine, and there is lots of green space to explore. the location near the historic abbey adds a touch of magic.
the room decor felt a bit outdated. the toiletries provided were scant, and i felt they could be improved. i found the toilet paper to be of poor quality.
