The staff was really nice. They welcomed us warmly. i arrived later than expected. they offered room service, i found the food amazing! breakfast had much choice and was well cooked. the morning check out is at 11am!

the room had poor lighting, though, there were no instructions for turning on the bathroom heating. the heating was either too hot or too cold. no dining was available until 8pm on a saturday, and not all menu choices were available.

the location includes a convenient bus stop facilitating a day trip to York. i found the breakfast to be quite satisfactory. the staff were helpful and friendly throughout my stay. the rooms were comfortable offering a pleasant environment.

i noticed the bar area was particularly busy. this made finding a quiet spot occasionally challenging. this is a very minor point considering the otherwise excellent experience.

the food was acceptable at breakfast.

The room was very cold and the bed felt damp. A draft came from a walk in cupboard, quite unpleasant, though i found a small radiator. It was insufficient to heat the room properly.
