The staff were attentive to details without being intrusive, I appreciated that. The gardens offered beautiful walks. I enjoyed the taster menu and the excellent wine pairings greatly. I found the food seasonal and well-matched with the wines.
The room was stuffy because the window did not open sufficiently, difficult to get fresh air.

Breakfast included many options. I appreciated the fresh fruit (though I'm not a huge fan of melon).
The minibar prices were excessive. I paid £52 for two glasses of champagne. they automatically added a £20 gratuity. I prefer deciding on the tip amount myself (the woman at checkout was not friendly).

i hosted my wedding here. staff IS professional. Alison ensured all details were perfect. guests found the wine lovely. we got many fine photos due to the beautiful building and grounds. i am very thankful for my magical time.
my shower needed repair, but it did not prevent me from using another one.

this hotel is excellent! i secured an upgrade to the emperor suite and wow, it's huge and gorgeous. the four-poster bed was super comfy, and i loved the soft pillows, i even used a cushion. the jacuzzi bath and waterfall shower were amazing!
the gravel drive at the front made a bit of noise when cars arrived.

the reception staff were very friendly, especially donna, i think that was her name. they are cute and efficient, so, it set a great tone for my entire stay, i really appreciated that personal touch.

I walked around the gardens and they are amazing, very excellent. the hotel presents its history in a very informative way, and it has nice lounges, very comfortable! the building is well appointed. Everything's in very good condition.

This place is a short drive from both harrogate and also, knaresborough, this is very convenient. i also found a local pub on my first night. The timothy taylor ale was recommended and it was awesome, this adds to the charm.

The staff provided a great welcome and a short tour upon arrival. Food was excellent. The building has excellent history. The grounds were very excellent too.
The room felt stuffy as the window did not open. Towels stayed damp throughout my stay. The room felt overpriced. The breakfast also felt overpriced, I have had better elsewhere for significantly less.

the building had an amazing history and well maintained grounds. the setting was beautiful.
the staff looked rude and looked down on us, off-putting. our bedroom had an uncomfortable, slanted bed. the experience did not feel worth the price we paid for one night.
