Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
George And Abbotsford is appreciated for its central location in Melrose, steps away from Melrose Abbey and offering convenient parking. Guests often enjoy the spacious rooms, some featuring bay windows with views of the charming street and abbey ruins, as well as in-room amenities like coffee and tea making facilities. A full Scottish breakfast is generally well-received, though some guests have noted that the hotel's decor appears a bit dated. The hotel also provides convenient access to St Cuthbert's Way.

the staff was helpful and pleasant. parking was easy with plenty of spaces.
The room was not great. It had stains on the blanket. i found food wrappers behind the bedside table. Talk about a snack attack from previous guests. also, a shelf we used as a wardrobe fell right off the wall. The manager was already gone for the day and, surprisingly, it wasn't fixed .
