Excellent Breakfast and Comfortable Room

The room was warm and it included decoration. I saw plenty of hanging space and the mirrors were well appointed. There was a good choice of hot drinks and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. I think the breakfast had more than adequate choices with the full English breakfast well presented and of good quality produce.

My room was a nice light airy space, I observed a comfortable bed in the room. The bathroom included both a bath and a shower for convenience and i felt it was easy to enjoy a complete experience.

The location allowed perfect access to the places I wanted to visit. I thought that having parking available was definitely a bonus. I walked to near establishments with no issues and also enjoyed the surroundings.

A Great Stay

Jordaan, the manager, has improved the hotel a lot in just 11 months. The staff are efficient and friendly (they even have time to chat!). Room service was efficient. Dining facilities were excellent and offered well-prepared food at a good price. The bar was friendly.

There was no lift to the top floor. The main light in my room was not very bright. It required some patience at breakfast because items like bowls and sugar were sometimes missing.

the carpets on the stairs looked dirty. the door to my room looked damaged. i felt uneasy as a solo traveler because of this, but they moved me to another room.

I was quite disappointed. The carpet had a bad smell and seemed quite dirty. The shower was also not clean. The bikes were stored in an unlocked yard filled with rubbish. I did not feel safe leaving them there.

the location was perfect for my planned visits. I found it good that parking was available. breakfast offered a nice substantial start to the day.

on arrival, check-in felt confusing. i stood around for some minutes before a staff member helped. the room had flaky paint and a loose door handle. the bathroom door dragged on the carpet. the wallpaper was peeling.

i stayed in a very spacious room and it had generous hanging space for clothes. the selection of hot drinks provided in the room was great. the bed was very comfortable, i slept soundly during the nights of my stay.

the carpets throughout the hotel was worn and could use better cleaning. the bedroom lighting was dim, and the window was not clean, this affected the ambiance. i hope they address these issues.

this location is on the main street, and there were many shops and bars to walk to. the riverside was a five minutes walk away and perfect for an afternoon stroll. i liked the proximity to local amenities.
