The grounds are beautiful.

I found the service to be inconsistent. A simple lunch for two cost an exorbitant amount. This really affected my overall impression of value.

the room was a manor room one king bed. i enjoyed the spacious layout and the comfortable bed (best sleep i've had in ages!). the bathroom featured both a separate tub and a walk-in shower, a real plus.

The minibar prices were surprisingly high. i noticed a few stains on the carpet in the hallway. the gym only had two treadmills. I had to wait for a while to use one (it was during peak hours, to be fair).

I enjoyed the horse riding! The picnic on the grounds was lovely. The Sunday lunch buffet displayed an very nice selection of food. The staff poured fresh champagne rather than topping up from another bottle.

drinks arrived at the bar without the usual nibbles! I had to request them.

There are horse stables. I observed children grooming a horse, and the staff were helpful. The children's pool was a highlight. The hotel included a bar area.
