Reasonable experience Overall

friendly staff helpful staff convenient location curt reception permanent gap blowing wind
The staff were friendly. They went out of their way to be helpful. Those that come to mind were the reception staff, the breakfast staff and the chamber maid. The location was very convenient, The facilities were also very good, and I used the gym and swimming pool.
Sliding window and doors had a permanent gap, i thought. The hotel acted like a funnel, the wind blowing through into the bathroom and through vents and gaps. Luckily, the air temp was perfect to leave it open, so just flowing curtains, rather than whistling.

Gratifying Stay at City Hotel

clean room comfortable room penthouse view
I stayed two nights with my family. The accessible twin room on the ground floor was so nice and neat. It included everything we needed. We swam in the pool and the breakfast included great views from the penthouse. The location for the city centre was convenient.
The car park got too many pillars. The disabled bays had sharp corners, made parking difficult. We felt that straight in and out parking spaces would improve the accessibility.
Service

Hotel staff was helpful. Bella at reception was great. Paul and Alexandra in the restaurant worked hard to ensure quick and accurate order taking. The hotel is dedicated to helping.
Rooms

Breakfast offered many choices for everyone. The restaurant provided ice service. The staff really looked after us during the breakfast. It included many options.

The location was superb. It was easy to reach many places (a perfect location, really). The breakfast was great (especially the pancakes!).
The cleanliness in the room was questionable. I found an old dirty child's sock behind the curtains (none of ours).
