wonderful stay

meal quality friendly staff
i received a complimentary upgrade because of a travel issue. the meal i had was delicious, with very good service and wonderful presentation. the staff were friendly, the food tasted very nice, and the restaurant was very clean.
I found the musak playing everywhere too loud. Hotels should reconsider this practice. the tv and wifi reception in my room were poor for a high-end hotel. also, there were significant overcharges on our bill initially.
Dining
9/10
The restaurant offers tasty food and prompt service. dinner in the mayflower was spot on with really good food and service. I must especially mention luke. the hotel provides diverse dining experiences, from casual to fine dining, with varied menus to suit every taste.
Rooms
9/10
The junior suite includes modern amenities and comfortable furnishings. the room's temperature was easily adjustable with user-friendly controls, guaranteeing a comfortable setting. soundproofing was effective. I did not experience disruptive noise from adjacent rooms or outside.
Location
10/10
the hotel's proximity to local attractions makes sightseeing convenient. access to dartmoor is a real benefit, offering opportunities for outdoor activities. transportation options are readily available for easy exploration of the area.
Service

Every staff member i spoke with was friendly and cute. the staff gives you the best experience. the check-in process was fast. The staff offered clear instructions about the hotel's facilities.

The spa facilities impressed me. i especially loved the outside jacuzzi connected to the hydro pool, it was so relaxing! added sample serums were a nice touch. I do not often experience luxury items.
the wi-fi kept dropping out in my room. it was fine in the main building though.

The spa has different hot and steam rooms. The spa pool is large. The spa cafe is great for breakfast. I prefer it over the brasserie.
TV reception in my room was not good enough for a 5-star hotel.
