Acceptable stay

big windowsriver viewfunctional balcony doortired hotelfridge operationexternal lighting
The room featured big windows overlooking the river. It was great to have a bath and not just a shower. The location provides a view of the river. The balcony door was also functional. Bedding and towels was clean.
The hotel seems somewhat tired. The fridge in the room switched on and off during the night. Light entered the room from outside, maybe from street lighting or downlighting on the exterior of the hotel.

Wonderful waterfront stay

river viewbreakfast selectioneasy parkingcity center
i stayed on the first floor overlooking the river. the view was slightly obstructed by a tree, but that is outside the hotel's control. the breakfast buffet had a very good selection. the parking was easy, and i could walk to the city center.
i found some hair on the bathroom tiles, it seemed to be from a previous guest.

the setting was lovely because all rooms face the river tyne. the location was amazing for walking to areas i wanted to visit. breakfast choices were really good.
i found the bath taps impossibly stiff. water pressure was so high, it made carefully filling a bath difficult. the room was cold and heating worked intermittently.
