i found the breakfast to be acceptable.
the room smelled strongly of sewage upon arrival. prices for drinks were ridiculous. i believe improvements are necessary.

the superior double room itself was acceptable and clean enough.
The entryway looked quite worn though. rust marked the gateway and some bricks was broken upon arrival. also, i found the staff rather inattentive. No one offered assistance with my luggage even though it was apparent i struggled with the door.

a romantic getaway amidst history
grand buildinghistoric feelthin walls
the grand building impressed me as i entered through the gates. the shower was lovely and the rooms maintained the hotel's historic feel. the bar offered a great selection of drinks.
the room lacked sufficient soundproofing, an issue. constant drilling in the afternoon and noise from floorboards created disturbance. the walls and structure seemed thin, impacting a peaceful stay.

the restaurant meals were very good and a good choice was available at breakfast. the chef's food was beautifully presented and seemed carefully crafted. the mushroom dish rivaled top italian restaurants.

The room was renovated recently. I stayed in the Coach House and the facilities were great. The period features throughout the hotel were lovely. The bathroom was clean.
The coach house had a slight damp smell throughout the building. I found this disappointing.

The room was very excellent, also the grounds. The bed was comfy, and the room was huge. Toiletries and tea and coffee were nice additions. The room was very clean and kept to a good standard. Secure parking is a real bonus (very important for me).
