I stayed in a family room with my family and appreciated the decor. the staff was lovely and helpful . the breakfast offered a nice range of items. It was a great way to start the day.

The internet access was difficult to use. I had trouble getting back to the login page after receiving the code.

helpful staff clean lodge free parking

the staff was very helpful. i found the lodge to be very clean and tidy. the location is great as it's a short walk to the castle and the town centre. it's also nice that there is free parking.

the single beds in the family room were a bit short for my teenager.

breakfast included standard english options. the restaurant has a medieval theme with wall hangings and exposed beams (though it might be subtle). food options may be limited later in the evening, specifically on sundays.

the rooms are spacious. i had a family room in a lodge, the layout and size are good. there are themed decorations like knight's pictures on the wallpaper which is a fun detail for kids.

helpful staff super clean chalet small single beds disappointing dinner

I loved the warm greeting from the staff at check-in! they were helpful in every role. our chalet was super clean. It had plenty of refreshments and soaps.

The single beds aren't really suitable for older children. My kid had their feet sticking over the end. the dinner was buffet style, but the quality was kind of disappointing.
