Boutique Hotel Des Arts is often praised for its fantastic location in the center, making it easy to explore Amsterdam on foot, with convenient access to tram stops. Many guests love the rooms overlooking the canal, particularly the family rooms with loft spaces. The breakfast, served in a pretty ground floor room, is also widely appreciated; however, some guests have noted that rooms on the higher floors require navigating narrow stairs.

steps was a real killer

perfect locationsteep stairsbasic breakfast
the location worked fine for getting to spots.
my room was like climbing everest as there was no elevator. i was on the fourth floor and the stairs were narrow, really steep, and not easy to carry my luggage. adding to that, there was no air conditioning in the room, i suffered through hot nights. the breakfast felt pretty basic with not much to choose from, i expected more.

the staff was friendly. the room had recently been refurbished and contained nice furnishings with a very comfortable bed.
i stayed on the 4th floor, this meant very narrow, uncomfortable stairs. it would be challenging to reach the room if i had mobility issues.
