The setting was beautiful! the staff were all helpful, so that was a plus. pizza was available for the evening meal, really lovely. It was a great option. the room was clean, tidy, and had everything i needed!
The entrance needed some tlc, it looked tired. inside, everything was very dated and dark. we found blood stains on our bedding and dirt on our towels. We asked for them to be changed immediately.

slamming doorfull car park
This hotel had some issues. Our door did not shut properly it had expanded. You had to pull or push it. It slammed! I heard guests going into rooms at 1 AM this morning. The parking was bad too. The hotel car park was full but there was no sign to say so, irritating.

Excellent Stay in a Historic Setting

building architectureroom cleanlinessquiet locationthin curtain
The building features beautiful architecture. Room 15 impressed me with its cleanliness and tidy condition. I found the furniture nice. The location offers a scenic and quiet setting close to Shrewsbury and main roads.
The thin curtains in the room did not allow for much sleep. Coffee tasted unpleasant. I was not offered fresh bread or cheese.
