Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests frequently compliment the clean and spacious rooms at The Down Inn, often highlighting the excellent food, especially the carvery. Many appreciate the traditional inn's cozy atmosphere and its location near Bridgnorth, making it a great base for exploring the area; some rooms offer pleasant views, like the sheep grazing nearby. While the rooms are generally well-received, a few guests in accessible room 9 noticed a layout that might present challenges for individuals with mobility issues, and the pub area may seem a bit dated to some. The hearty and reasonably priced breakfast also adds to the overall good value for money that many guests experience.

the carvery was amazing. it was great value for money.
The vegetarian menu choices were really poor. i was surprised given current trends. guests were also loud when others were trying to sleep. This isn't really the hotel's fault though.

fresh fruitpoor menulack of respect
The breakfast included fresh fruit and kippers. I suppose it was acceptable.
The vegetarian options really disappointed me. Considering how many vegetarians and vegans are out there these days, I found the lack of choices quite shocking. I was also kept awake as other guests failed to respect that other people were trying to get some sleep.
