polite staffstained carpetsick on the wall
The staff was polite and showed me to my room. They explained about meal times and other amenities. All acceptable.
The room I got, a Double Room Private Bathroom, had a strange layout. The carpet was really stained. I swear someone had been sick on the wall in the lounge area as there were bits stuck to it. I was probably expecting too much for the price.

Mixed Experience at Centrally Located Hotel

dirty kettleinadequate soundproofing
The provided kettle was not clean. This oversight was disappointing. I also found the room's soundproofing inadequate. Noise from both inside and outside the building was easily audible, thus disrupting sleep.. I believe improvements in these areas would significantly enhance the guest experience.

The room was very clean. The bed provided great comfort. Breakfast was included and offered good choices. The staff assisted with preparing a take-away breakfast for an early train. I found that very helpful.
Road noise was noticeable. It diminished later at night.
