riverside romance

easy transport excellent staff lovely view

the hotel arranged transport from the airport and it was seamless. the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and they really did help us explore the area, their english was excellent, breakfast was a beautiful spread and really quite wonderful. the room overlooked the river with such a lovely view and i just adored it.

it was a small thing, but the entrance wasn't clearly marked so it was a little hard to find. still, we managed.

riverfront location thoughtful touch fresh pastries

The location was superb. It was right on the douro river, a distinct advantage. breakfast was a highlight (especially the fresh pastries!). filtered water was readily available throughout my stay, a very thoughtful touch.

the entrance to the hotel was not clearly marked, it took me a little while to find it.
