the hotel arranged transport from the airport and it was seamless. the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable and they really did help us explore the area, their english was excellent, breakfast was a beautiful spread and really quite wonderful. the room overlooked the river with such a lovely view and i just adored it.

it was a small thing, but the entrance wasn't clearly marked so it was a little hard to find. still, we managed.

The location was superb. It was right on the douro river, a distinct advantage. breakfast was a highlight (especially the fresh pastries!). filtered water was readily available throughout my stay, a very thoughtful touch.

The location was AMAZING. It made exploring very easy. Our room overlooked the river (superior room river view), offering lovely views. The staff paid great attention to detail. I will return!

The shower drain was slow. It caused a small amount of water to accumulate during showers.
