helpful staff excellent knowledge valuable advice
My recent visit was nice. I found the staff to be cute and helpful throughout my stay. The owner REALLY has excellent local knowledge. He provided valuable advice about nearby Exmoor Park and what to see.
There was only one toilet roll in the bathroom.

early breakfast friendly manager paper cups single toilet roll
the hotel provided a early self service breakfast. this was great for my 5am start to a race. the hotel manager was very lovely and friendly too. he always stopped for a chat and showed interest in our visit.
i only had paper cups for hot drinks. there was only one toilet roll on the holder too. i only realised we had one after ran out. there wasn't staff around as it was late, so i had to use tissues.

charming stay!

convenient service extra visit
i spent several nights at the hotel exploring the somerset countryside, and i loved the convenience of the owner accompanying my car to the day's walk endpoint. this service let me fully explore each location without needing to unpack and repack. he even added extra visits en route to spots i wouldn't have seen otherwise! the staff were so cute and genuine.

The manager was friendly. She. For a race we attended nearby, the hotel provided a very early self-service breakfast for our 5 a.m. start. We greatly appreciated this thoughtful accommodation.
