“This historic inn, uniquely positioned under the Forth Bridge, makes a memorable base for exploring the area. I was particularly drawn to the combination of its character-rich pub, complete with a log fire, and the restaurant's commitment to seasonal, locally-sourced cuisine. While some rooms offer enviable views of the Firth of Forth, prospective guests should note that some past visitors have commented on some inconsistencies in service.”

the location met my expectations with awesome views.
my room seemed old and poorly maintained. the wallpaper peeled off the wall. the plaster around the bathroom ventilation was broken and the bathroom was cramped. i was very disappointed with both the restaurant service and the room.

perfect locationfree parkingunfriendly staffdoorway flies
the location was perfect! i could easily walk to nearby shops and the three bridges viewpoint. the free parking was a great bonus too.
The staff weren't very friendly or helpful, to be honest. I felt unwelcome at check-in. there were flies all over the doorway as i walked in. It was a bit off-putting.

admirable stay with iconic views

amazing staffawesome foodcomfortable bedgood bedding
Storm amy hit and the staff handled it admirably. the food provided was genuinely awesome and well-prepared. I must commend the chef. i secured a double room for my stay, it featured views of the rail bridge and firth of forth. the room offered a big, comfortable bed complete with good bedding.
during my visit, i noticed a slight understaffing at the bar area. this also served as the front desk. it was a bit chaotic.
Location

The hotel boasts a prime location near iconic landmarks, including proximity to the airport. i appreciated easy access to transportation. It made my early departure smooth and stress-free. the immediate area offered excellent walk-ability to the surrounding town.
