outdated room shower issue
The food was acceptable for dinner.
The room was quite outdated. The shower was also problematic. It backed up completely and the temperature was difficult to adjust, being too hot even on the coldest setting. I expected better for the price paid.

tight margin breakfast option
the room was clean at least so there is that
the breakfast situation was dire my wife wanted something other than a full english but apparently margins are too tight they said also some french people seemed equally disappointed at the lack of options i found the whole thing rather amusing in a bleak sort of way

hard-working team friendly staff helpful staff superior room
the team was hard working. they were friendly and really helpful. they did everything they could to. i will try and go back again and stay in one of their superior rooms.
the breakfast varied everyday and was never exactly as stated on the menu. the variety was very limited.

clean room spacious room powerful shower wrong meal extended wait repeated alarm
I found the room to be clean. The standard double room was spacious. I appreciated that the bathroom had a good size with a powerful shower.
The evening meal arrived wrong. I waited over 20 minutes for the correct meal to arrive. This left the other person to eat alone. The fire alarm went off two nights in a row, leaving us very tired.

basic evening meal inexperienced servers
The breakfast was a bit hit and miss. it changed daily. I never knew what to expect, not exactly a thrill. also, the evening meal felt pretty basic. and the servers were clearly new to the game. Reminded me of i was part of their on-the-job training program.

the bathroom had a good size. staff members were friendly. the bedroom was quiet and well laid out. under floor heating was available.
i arrived after 9:00 o'clock, so i could not have the evening meal.
