garden view afternoon tea
The restaurant had beautiful views of the gardens, i recall. special thanks to all the staff who helped. They allowed us to bring in some balloons. the afternoon tea was delicious with a perfect combination of treats!!!
there was a pretty tired look to the hotel.

soft skin manager absence
The staff helped sort out cabs since I was attending Newmarket races.
The slow roasted pork I had for dinner was not good. The skin was soft and slimy. I told the waitress, who said the chef replied 'Sorry,' but no manager ever came. I left that night, forfeiting the second night I had paid for (a bit annoying).

Wonderful Stay
helpful staff afternoon tea large breakfasts
The staff was great. They took very good care of our family member. They helped her with any concerns or questions. The whole staff could not do enough to help and were very nice. We also had a very nice afternoon tea, and several excellent and large breakfasts were provided.
I noticed a limited car parking. Finding a space took a little longer.

Laura in the dining room served us most days. She also set up our table. She was very kind. The manager was attentive, and he addressed all our needs promptly. I appreciated their dedication.

The hotel is near many routes and cities. Many restaurants are within walking distance, I liked the central position. The garden and river views created a relaxing atmosphere.
