“The Red Lion charms with its 17th-century coaching inn feel and prime spot on Adderbury's village green. I appreciate the blend of historic character-exposed oak beams and fireplaces-with a family-friendly atmosphere. Its accessibility to both Oxford and the Cotswolds makes it a worthwhile base for exploring the region.”

charming inn experience

attentive stafffreshly cooked itemshistoric touchesunreliable wi-fi
I stayed for two nights and found the staff very attentive, from check-in to breakfast service. the breakfast included freshly cooked items and also a selection of pastries and juices. the inn has been renovated well. I especially liked the historic touches throughout.
the wi-fi connection in my room was unreliable. i used my own data instead, a slight inconvenience. housekeeping could check the hand grip in the bathroom and the towel rail more often.

mixed experience due to noise issues

good breakfast choiceloud bar noisehard pillows
the freshly cooked breakfast was acceptable with a good choice of items.
Room 4 suffered from significant noise intrusion from the bar below. (i do appreciate it is a pub.) i could hear conversations very clearly due to poor soundproofing. This made sleeping difficult. the bed and pillows were also too firm for my liking.
