amazing stay at this iconic hotel!
fantastic locationspacious roomattentive staffunresponsive controls
the location was fantastic! i walked to nearby shops and restaurants easily. my room, a palm court suite two double beds, was spacious and beautifully decorated. the staff were all very attentive, i seemed like a queen!
the ipad controls in the room were sometimes unresponsive. it took a few tries to adjust the lights.

the pool area includes twenty loungers and shaded areas for relaxation. the fitness center provides three treadmills and two stationary bikes. the hotel also features beautifully maintained gardens and historical exhibits.

quiet roomsublime dinnergreat service
The service met expectations, offering a great welcome. vikram's welcome set the bar high. the rooms were very quiet and dark. It was easy to sleep. the pool and gym were well serviced. the dinner at the tiffin room was sublime, a real highlight.
check-in felt disorganized, i did observe many tourists taking pictures. afternoon tea happened in the lobby area, so the area was chaotic.

The staff was polite and attentive during breakfast at the tiffin room. This met my expectations.
The lack of a welcome drink upon arrival was disappointing. I later received a note to claim it, seemingly placing blame on me for not consuming it. the shower room design could be improved. i also found the design in the state suite lacking.

The tour of the hotel was led by Roslee. He offered extensive knowledge. The gift shop featured diverse souvenirs. I enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant. It presented numerous fresh options.
The gym lacked natural light.
