the onsen was amazing (i used it every evening). the rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. i especially enjoyed the ryokan-feeling of this place. there were extra services available like free food late in the evening.

The automated systems for check-in took longer than speaking with someone. i found plastic tatami flooring. That's not ideal. i would have liked real tatami.

The location was very convenient for exploring. I appreciated the late-night ramen service. It was a unique touch. The room had comfortable tatami mats. The onsen access added relaxation to my stay after long walks.

The windows had poor insulation, I continually heard crosswalk beeping, even when closed.

The location is central, just a short walk from the Omicho market and the castle (it was only a couple of minutes). The facilities were very clean. Staff members were helpful and friendly. The breakfast included seasonal food plus a seafood and salad section.

The music in the common areas played on a loop and was a little loud (i didn't hear it in my room). Nobody informed me about tattoo restrictions for the onsen (i had written in advance with questions). This information is readily available in other hotel profiles.
