historic architecture and good food

historic architecture original features hotel bikes

the hotel was built in the early 1900s with real 'style' , and i found it beautiful. common parts retained their original features. i hired bikes from the hotel and enjoyed cycling.

the stay started off poorly. i notified the hotel about a week prior that i would be arriving early. check in is at 3:00 pm. i arrived at 11:45 am. my room was not ready , but i could get lunch at the restaurant or wait until it was ready.

Historic Charm and Cruise Convenience

The hotel is conveniently located next to the cruise terminal. The building preserves history and has been renovated well. The staff was very helpful. I enjoyed the very good restaurant food.

The room had very few outlets. Even the lights were unplugged to use the one available. There also was no refrigerator (so do not buy anything requiring cooling).

The hotel is situated in an excellent location surrounded by water. It provides good views of the city. This place is also very quiet, a plus for a relaxing stay (I certainly valued it).
