a peaceful escape
communal lounge excellent food good comfort friendly staff
i loved the communal lounge areas. the food i ate in the restaurant was excellent. the bed provided very good comfort. the staff were friendly. i appreciated the location, very beautiful with lovely views.
the wifi felt a little slow sometimes. it worked, but i did expected better performance.

underwhelming stay with issues
poor lighting old pastries
The room i had was supposedly a 'superior suite', but it felt far from it. the lighting was terrible. A bedside lamp didn't even work. breakfast was also disappointing. the continental selection included a few cereal boxes and some old pastries. it really didn't meet expectations and needs some improvements.

warm greeting spacious terrace superb meal excellent staff
The receptionist offered a WONDERFUL greeting when I arrived as a single traveller. My lovely room opened onto a spacious terrace. It was also a large room. The evening meal was superb, and breakfast was just as good! The staff are a 10/10.
I noticed a very slight delay at check-in, as there seemed to be only one person handling guest arrivals at that moment.

The hotel grounds are beautifully kept and provide a nothing noisy. It is just outside the city center. I enjoyed having convenient access to nearby attractions. The setting is quite scenic.

dog barking loud voices
the breakfast was very nice! i especially liked the hot food freshly cooked to order.
The noise really bothered me, especially since the hotel clearly stated no pets allowed. Throughout the night, there were loud voices and a dog barking in the next room. i struggled to feel comfortable and settle because the noise really interfered with my sleep. it was hard since we had an early start and a long drive back in the morning too.
