Decent stay with some minor issues

great locationclean bardusty cupboardpoor drainage
The location was great. It was within walking distance to various attractions. I also liked the lounge and bar. These areas were clean and quite nice to relax in (i enjoyed a cocktail there).
The room i had did not quite match the hotel's overall impression. I found a grated cupboard for shoes. It was very dusty. the shower did not drain well. I was worried about overflow so i kept turning the water down.

Fantastic Stay at a Quiet Retreat!

quiet oasislovely gardenshelpful staffinconsistent housekeeping
I appreciated the hotel's proximity to the city center! It was like a quiet oasis with lovely gardens. Outdoor seating areas provided a peaceful retreat, and all staff were professional and very helpful. Breakfast was particularly good. I loved the extra touches in my room, like the fridge and fresh milk. there was a great hair dryer!
housekeeping seemed a bit inconsistent. I had to request the room be made up on the second day. The bin was not emptied, a slight oversight for a hotel of this standard.

Acceptable, but Some Issues Noted

dated roompoor cleanliness
I found a couple of issues that impacted my stay. The room felt quite dated. It could use some updating to feel more modern. I noticed the cleanliness in certain areas wasn't up to par. There was some dust in corners and the bathroom could have been cleaner. I hoped for a better experience, especially considering the hotel's rating..
