Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Manor Court is widely praised for its unique, atmospheric charm, offering guests an experience akin to staying in a medieval-style castle, complete with suits of armor and even a candlelit breakfast. The King Chamber room is a particular favorite, featuring a gold rolltop bath, comfortable king-size bed with high-end sheets, and prosecco on arrival and bathrobes; plus, the view overlooking a field of sheep is often mentioned as a bonus. While some guests have found the amenities a bit overpriced, many feel the experience is worth every penny, especially with the spacious and opulent queen suites available.

a gothic dream fulfilled

I adored the gothic theme present throughout the hotel. It was like stepping into another era. i loved the display of antiques, including grotesques, swords, and period furniture, each telling its own story. julie and hugh greeted us warmly, always available to assist with any needs. the breakfast had a wide variety of choices, including hot dishes, fresh fruit, and delicious croissants.
I noticed the absence of a proper door on the toilet in our room. Instead, there was a curtain, which slightly affected privacy

We received a warm welcome with prosecco. the hosts provided recommendations for exploring the vicinity. i found the gothic theme evident even in the garden. The statues added to the atmosphere. the ornate cast iron furniture stood out too.
the listing suggested dinner could be acquired on site but it was not available. we had to pay for a taxi to go out for dinner. there were no beverages available when we returned.
