Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Lakeland Hotel Mizunosato offers guests spacious rooms, many boasting amazing views of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko, with some even featuring private onsen. Its prime location is right next to Yagizaki Park, and within reasonable distance to attractions like the Mt. Fuji Ropeway and Kawaguchiko Music Forest. Guests frequently enjoy the traditional Japanese-style breakfast and dinner included in the half-board option; still, a few guests have found the hotel's decor a bit old-fashioned.

Awesome stay with lovely views

helpful staff large room close proximity
I found the staff super helpful and spoke English very well. The room felt much larger than it looked online, a nice surprise. I loved the lake proximity because it offered an amazing view despite the weather.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel offers public baths with lake or mountain views plus an open terrace. I found that Mount Fuji looked majestic from the terrace. Also the hotel provides a convenient free shuttle service to and from the station.

Okay stay. Could be BETTER

broken chair many spiders
The hotel provided free shuttle service from 3pm to 7pm from Lake Kawaguchiko Bus Station and a morning shuttle to the bus station from 8am to 10am.
The building felt VERY old-fashioned. The chairs in my supreme Japanese room were broken and the table had stains. The onsen was a nice experience BUT there were a load of spiders. The hotel REALLY needs a bit of tlc and cleaning.

Dated facilities

water stains bathroom sink
The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our dietary requirements.
The facilities appear quite dated. I observed water stains on a lamp with a paper wall in my room (this was quite noticeable). The bathroom sink was clogged and the shower door was stained. It clearly needs maintenance. I would have expected better upkeep for the price paid.
