the staff was helpful and transport to the station was available.

the hotel felt very old, i think they haven't updated since the 60s. the lobby had a musty smell, i didn't like that. the carpet looked dirty and the walls had scuff marks. the towels also felt poor quality, they were not soft.

i liked that the staff was very cute. the breakfast was fantastic. great service was provided throughout my stay.. it was appreciated. the traditional japanese meal at breakfast was also a plus.

the chairs and sofa fabric are old. i saw some holes on them. the bed linen had blood stains. the mosquitos in the room gave me some mosquito bites.

Decent Stay at Lakefront Hotel

The location offers easy access to the lake for walks and dining. The staff were friendly. a convenient shuttle runs to the train station. Breakfast requires reservations, and the meals were tasty with different options daily. The onsen offered a view of Mount Fuji from behind glass.

The room smelled strongly of cigarettes and had a noticeable smell of fresh paint. I asked about changing rooms due to the odor but found the new room identical. Leaving luggage in the lobby storage felt insecure due to the lack of supervision.
