The lobby provided beautiful lake views and complimentary Japanese snacks and drinks! I liked the traditional futons that were provided. The front desk stored our luggage after we left for a climb of Mt Fuji. This was very convenient for us.

scuff marks dirty windows

The room looked tired. It needed a refresh. scuff marks and chipped furniture weren't exactly what i expected at this price. the windows needed a good cleaning to make the view lovely. i think a little tlc would go a long way here. It felt a bit like paying for the view alone, sadly.

free shuttle service breakfast buffet lake view old hotel ineffective soundproofing light blocking curtain

The staff provided a very warm welcome. The free shuttle service to and from the station was very useful (it made travelling easy). The breakfast buffet offered a lot of options. The view of the lake from the room was fine.

The hotel seems a bit old. The soundproofing was not very effective. I could hear my neighbor closing the bathroom door. The curtains did not fully block out the light, so an eye-mask was needed.

the breakfast and dinner buffets offered various options to enjoy i found the shuttle service to the station very convenient and easy to use. the rooms were spacious and well-equipped with many amenities i needed. the lake views offered from my room were great.

the pool was smaller than expected and it closed relatively early for the convenience of my schedule.
