Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Hotel Okada is frequently praised for its spacious and well-equipped rooms, some featuring large balconies with scenic views and private hot baths overlooking the landscape. Guests appreciate the readily available amenities, including yukata robes, slippers, and toiletries, with traditional Japanese-Western room styles available. While the hotel is within manageable walking distance to the town center and bus stops, some guests have noted that it's a bit of a walk from the train station. The buffet is often described as exceptional, with a wide variety of tasty options, and the onsen experience, both indoor and outdoor with features like massage chairs, is a highlight for many.

A Decent Stay

attentive staffreplenished snacksclean roomdated hoteltricky locationlong walk
I appreciated the attentiveness of the staff. They were friendly. The room was kept clean. Little snacks were replenished each day.
The hotel appears to be quite dated. It reminded me of it was from the 1970s. The location is a bit tricky to reach. A long walk with bags is necessary if Bus A has stopped running.

I thought the buffet was plentiful. It offered very good quality. the staff was very nice. I found the hot spring to be a good experience. It was very relaxing after a long day.
There was NO aircon. The room advertised it, BUT i did not feel it at all. a heater was available. I asked for a fan. even then it was not enough for the entire room. the bathroom was quite small

Fantastic Stay with In-Room Hot Spring

private onsengreat roominconvenient location
The room was great and very new. The private onsen was amazing. I used it a lot. Dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. The staff was accommodating when I requested an upgrade to a room with a private onsen (which turned out to be the best decision ever).
The location is a bit inconvenient. I wish I had known about the shuttle service from the station upon arrival. I waited an hour for the K bus.
Location
8/10
The hotel is located up a hill. A shuttle bus is available from the train station, but awareness of its schedule is necessary for efficient travel (planning ahead can really help).
Dining
9/10
Dinner and breakfast are buffet style. The buffets have various traditional Japanese dishes and some western options. I always chose the Japanese meals (they were so tasty).
Facilities
9/10
There are two onsens available to use. Rooms feature a private hot spring bath on the balcony. Traditional pajamas are available in the closet along with a robe.
Service
10/10
The staff is well trained and responds to needs efficiently. The staff were friendly and helpful . They allowed us to keep our luggage earlier than check-in and left it in our room.

the staff was very helpful and lovely, a detail i found acceptable.
I found the musty smell in the hallways quite extreme. The bathroom clearly had mold. the built-in onsen would have been a wonderful experience if it wasn't covered in mold, i found it icky.

My room was spacious. It looked just like the photos! The amenities were plentiful for us. The staff were wonderfully friendly, and they really tried hard to communicate. I definitely recommend it! The location was a short walk from the train station, even without baggage.
