the room i had was well appointed and spacious. the service was fantastic with very kind and friendly staff. the breakfast was very nice and the best i have ever had included in the stay. joe, the manager at the restaurant, provided perfect service.

i booked thinking it was closer to town. it turns out it is too far for challenged walkers LIKE us. no public rooms were available to relax in. this meant spending more time in the bedroom.

this new hotel features convenient parking. the location is ideal for visitors travelling by car. the hotel is a short walk away from the town itself. it IS easy to find.

Acceptable, but Some Issues

The room had a rather annoying green light. I guess it was supposed to be a security feature. it lit up the room like a spotlight all night. The staff acknowledged that others had complained about the light. Apparently, some guests even tried to cover it up, but nothing has been done to fix it. I didn't sleep well.

the room was very spacious and well decorated with good quality furnishings. food from the restaurant was very good. the location was easy to find and included good free car parking . staff were very cute, the room very clean, with soft towels and face flannels.

there was a green light in the room. i presumed it was a security light, but it was bright. i felt it was like having a spotlight in the room all night.

the hotel offered convenient location just off the A30. it took only 15 minutes to stroll into the centre of town. a lovely elemis spa provided super treatments from darja.

newly built, the bedrooms and bathrooms were generously sized. the room included real semi skimmed milk in the fridge. hot chocolate was also available in the drinks tray for a comforting beverage.

The promised daily cleaning was a real issue. on one day, our room was not cleaned at all. The staff claimed to be too busy. this happened again on another day. it's frustrating when you pay a premium and the basic services aren't consistently provided.
