Guests often appreciate the Old Rectory's dog-friendly atmosphere, with comfortable chalet rooms available, some noting the convenience of cutlery and plates provided for takeaway. Its location is ideal, with just a short walk to a large, sandy beach near St Bridgets Church. The breakfast in the conservatory receives high praise, especially the full English option, though some guests have felt the service could be more attentive. The garden is also a lovely space for enjoying lunch or breakfast outdoors.

adequate stay overall

the staff were friendly and approachable. the breakfast was amazing! the room was nice and clean.
The bathroom toiletries were the absolute minimum. Tiny sized shampoo and shower gel. also, our room was next to another room where there was a dog consistently scratching on the floors. i heard it for most of the evening loudly through the walls.

I really appreciated the family running the place. They were so helpful. my room faced the play area, a bonus for my daughter. breakfast was very good, and the beach was just a short trip away. we hope to return next summer. we appreciated the efficient room service lady.
The strong smell of bleach in my room was unpleasant. It stayed there the entire time. the shower tray also showed damage. light came in from dawn because of the thin curtains on the patio doors.

The staff were very helpful. They allowed us to leave our luggage securely until our taxi arrived later.
The room was small. The shower was also quite small and felt very dated, it needs some attention.

The breakfast had a great choice of full English and other hot options. Cereals and toast were available, too. I appreciate that the rooms were serviced each day (very helpful). The rooms were clean and freshly decorated.
The shower tray was badly damaged. The curtains across the patio doors were too thin. Light came in at dawn. There was a strong smell of bleach in the room, which remained the entire time.
