the hotel location has amazing views. the staff were helpful, a good point. the room had art deco decor and were tidy. breakfast was first class, a great point.

the paving around the hotel is uneven. a real trip hazard exists. at night, there is no light where i need to enter. it makes a dark entrance to navigate.

the restaurant served excellent food each evening. the team led by mark greenaway delivered meals that were exactly as expected. (i was especially thankful for the delicious breakfast options!).

some external pointing looked somewhat unusual on close inspection.

The staff had just the right balance between attention to detail and respecting privacy. they were always smiling and offering a friendly word. i especially loved that the hotel welcomed everyone, from dogs to young families. It created a relaxed atmosphere.

Our room had a minor issue. The bathroom sink drained slowly. also, the tv remote didn't work initially. I had to call reception for assistance. it was resolved quickly, but it was still a small inconvenience.

The food was very good. the breakfast had a wide choice, and everything tasted fresh. the rooms also had wonderful views. the bed seemed very cosy. Everything i needed was there.

i was given a room above the kitchen. i could hear the kitchen staff talking. i asked to switch rooms because of all the noise but was told there were no others available.

The location is quite lovely, offering superb views. I admired the original decor. It possesses a certain charm. The hiking trails nearby were excellent too.. I really enjoyed them.

The absence of a response to my email before arrival was noted. I emailed about dinner reservations and bringing my dog, but received no reply. Cleanliness standards seemed poor. The seats around the fireplace in the lounge had ash.
