adequate stay with some issues
woodland trailparking feeservice charge
the woodland trail on the grounds was a nice amenity to have access to
the parking fee of £12 felt excessive given the remote location there was also only one vegetarian option available on the dinner menu that was disappointing i did not appreciate the mandatory service charge added to all orders it felt unwarranted

i stayed on the grounds and found some exciting woodland trails. i walked through them and unwound. the hotel micro brewery offered excellent beer! it was a highlight, i felt.

i found the staff to be pleasant and helpful. nothing seemed like too much trouble for them. the breakfast was also quite good, especially the home smoked salmon. the hotel provided top quality bedding in the rooms.
the service in the restaurant was quite slow. i waited nearly 50 minutes for my meal and there was no explanation for the delay. i found the cleanliness of the room poor with cobwebs in the ceiling corners. also there were flies in the room.
