Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Harbour Hotel & Spa St Ives is often praised for its excellent location near the train and bus stations, offering easy access to both the beach and town, although the walk back can be a bit steep for some. Guests frequently highlight the stunning sea views available from many rooms, sometimes even spotting dolphins, and appreciate the convenience of valet parking. The hotel features modern design alongside an older building's charm, including a spa area with a well-sized pool and saunas; some guests, however, found certain inland rooms to be small, especially the bathrooms.

Totally Awesome Stay!

comfortable beddelicious dinnerwide rangerelaxation blend
The beds were massive and super comfy. Breakfast and dinner both tasted delicious and filled me up real good. My room has a sweet TV with tons of channels for me to watch. The spa, steam room, and pool were very nice. I felt so relaxed after!
The lift was a bit old, it was not going up to the luxury rooms. I had to climb up some twisty stairs with a low ceiling at the end. It was a bit of a squeeze!
Service

I saw the staff were quick to help with requests and answered all my questions. The front desk team provided efficient check in and out. Housekeeping maintained a very high standard of cleanliness each day.

The restaurant offered a varied menu with many choices for everyone. The breakfast buffet featured fresh fruit, pastries, and hot items ready to eat. I think the bar had an awesome selection of cocktails and local beers, too!
Rooms

My room included plush robes and comfy slippers that I used a lot. I like that the bathroom features fluffy towels and high end toiletries. A stocked mini bar and a coffee maker was a fantastic addition.
Facilities

The spa has a sauna, steam room, and multiple treatment rooms you can visit. The gym included treadmills, elliptical machines, and free weights that I lifted often. There is an indoor pool with lounge chairs.

small roomdirty window
My stay had a few notable downsides. The room I booked felt smaller than expected. The window faced the hotel entrance roof and it was very dirty (it was very disappointing). Despite my request, no one cleaned it nor provided luggage support. They completely ignored me. This was disappointing because this hotel has a beautiful location.

The room was super clean and I liked the location. It was a short walk to the beach.
I was disappointed that the en-suite was tiny. It had no window or extractor fan. There was also zero storage in the en-suite, it needed shelves. Bar service was slow. The staff were great, but the crew was too small. I waited 20 minutes for a drink (unacceptable!).
