Hotel Du Vin Poole is often praised for its prime location near the sea front and in the heart of Poole's historic district, making it convenient for exploring the area, including the quayside and ferry port. Guests frequently mention the spacious and well-appointed rooms, some featuring roll-top baths, coffee machines, and stylish décor, although a few have noted that some bathrooms could use updating. difficult location disappointing food
the room was bigger than the one i booked. i ate in the hotel and the chateaubriand was delicious.
the location of the hotel made it difficult to find on a cold winter's night. some light over the entrance would have helped. i was not warned that access to my room involved walking outside along the the road. although the dinner menu looked good, the food was disappointing.

large room comfy bed inviting restaurant average breakfast tight car park larger vehicle
The room was quite large and included a comfy bed. The bar area had a nice ambiance. I appreciated the restaurant area. It felt inviting.
The breakfast was only average. Pastries were not always replenished. The car park was very tight. It was difficult to maneuver a larger vehicle in there and I had a hard time.

wheelchair friendly stay!

wheelchair lift reserved parking
i stayed four nights and the wheelchair access was so important for me. the accessible room had a big wet room and was very comfortable. getting to the bistro was easy with a wheelchair lift from the courtyard, i had a specially reserved parking space, probably because i booked early. the food in the bistro and breakfast was excellent!
i wish the air conditioning system wasn't a nightmare. i could hear the compressor even when it was off. it even turned itself on once! the noise made it hard to sleep, maybe some soundproofing could help.
Rooms
9/10
The classic double featured a spacious layout and a comfortable bed. l'occitaine shower products and hand soap were provided in the bathroom. The room felt very clean and fresh, i could tell.
Facilities
10/10
Wheelchair access was provided. a wheelchair lift was available connecting the courtyard and bistro. a special parking space was given, so that was very helpful. It really helped me out, i have to say.
Dining
9/10
Breakfast provided a superb selection. The scrambled egg was delicious. i had dinner and drinks at the bistro. It was delicious. the food, to be honest.
Service
10/10
The staff demonstrated kindness. They were friendly and polite. they were considerate to my needs. i was given a lovely welcome and checkout from staff going out of their way. I really felt cared for.
