Location and Exploration
The Cuilfail Hotel is located at the foot of rolling hills in Kilmelford, 14 miles from Oban-"The Gateway to the Isles ". The name Cuilfail in Gaelic appropriately means Sheltered Corner. Guests can walk from the hotel to waterfalls, the shore, some interesting rock formations, over the hill and onto the pass of Melfort, up to some of the many hill lochs. Take the Loch Lomond road to Tarbet. Discover the area's water adventures. The hotel is near the Isle of Seil, craft and souvenir shops. The town of Inveraray joins the main Crianlarich to Oban road via Dalmally. Take the main road via Lochgilphead to Kilmartin and Kilmelford. Visit the National Trust for Scotland's gardens.
