central location friendly staff
I loved the friendly staff and central location. the hotel had character with quiet bedrooms. i found a great selection of beers at the bar. the publican was fantastic. I tried many beers!

my twin room had comfortable beds and was very clean. the facilities in the room were great. the super clean bathroom included a lovely shower. the building had its quirky charm.

the restaurant was excellent with a good menu choice. the food was AMAZING!!! evening drinks at the bar were well arranged. the beer selection was excellent, and everything was well-prepared.

the hotel is in the town center. i appreciated the easy access to nearby shops. parking was also convenient. i explored the surrounding area with ease because of this location.

helpful staff good breakfast excellent housekeeping long shower flooding bathroom clear signage
i found the staff helpful. the bicycles were stored in the ballroom, i noticed! breakfast was always good and the staff attentive. housekeeping were excellent, i must say.
the shower took a long time to get hot. there was a sign warning me about it, apply, twice. the water wasn't draining away quickly enough so it was in danger of flooding the bathroom. i noted A lack of clear signage for the parking area.

Charming Stay at a Historical Place
excellent breakfast comfy bed nice bathroom
I liked the excellent breakfast. Staff stayed open the bar later for us residents. I found a decent comfy bed and bathroom, so I did sleep very well.
The room was slightly noisy because people returned late from a night out.

The hotel is delightfully quirky with no right-angle to find. The staff are helpful and happy to help with luggage because there are steep stairs. I found the hotel was spotlessly clean.

The hotel restaurant is on the ground floor, it is convenient for both breakfast and dinner. I liked the food very much, and the pub restaurant was even better. Dietary requirements are catered for.
