i received a warm welcome upon arrival. the garden room was spacious and had patio doors leading to the garden with a table and chairs. it also included toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities.

the stairs to my room were a bit difficult.

Breakfast included local ingredients. Sausages and bacon came from a local butcher. The staff were always on hand to serve food and drinks. Barbara offered great care, and Rupert made our evening better.

The pillows were very uncomfortable. I stayed only one night so did not complain. I phoned reception for a drink at 4 a.m. I knew it was early! The manager said she wasn't very happy I phoned, strange because I apologised.

Decent Stay with Minor Issues

I found a couple of things disappointing. The pillows were quite uncomfortable. It affected my sleep quality. I also noticed the heating came on unexpectedly during the night. When I mentioned it at checkout, I was told I should have turned off the radiators myself. This response was unexpected and not very helpful.
