ceiling stain hot water
The grounds were lovely and the hotel seemed old.
I had expected a bit more from a hotel charging those prices , but the room was not clean. There were cobwebs in the corners of the room and the ceiling had a worrying stain , threatening collapse. The hot water took ages to arrive , which is charming in an old building , but not very practical when you want a quick shower.

the staff were friendly and helpful .
upon arrival, i found the absence of a mini fridge quite inconvenient. also, the lack of readily available hot chocolate sachets was disappointing for those who do not consume tea or coffee.
