The sea tractor ride was fun, even in drizzle. the palm court had live music playing lovely tunes. they have various art deco artifacts. I saw cocktail shakers from 1920.
the tide dictated transport times, so my movements got limited a bit.

fantastic view era decor breakfast selection
I stayed in the luxe double. it had a fantastic sea view. the room decor was definitely of the era. I felt transported. the breakfast selection offered many choices. the ingredients tasted fresh and high-quality.
the bathroom blinds did not close completely! this affected my privacy a little.

island destination palm court informative driver
The directions video from the hotel made parking in the mainland garage simple! the 4x4 transfer to the island was great. The driver was informative. we loved the warm welcome inside with a glass of champagne in the palm court lounge, it was good.

helpful staff great video informative driver
i especially liked the helpfulness of every staff member i encountered. the directions video was a great idea. the driver was very chatty and informative.
during our stay, the breakfast was disappointing. the hot options were not very appetising. there was a long wait for the breakfast, and the continental selection was small. it didn't feel like luxury given the price.

the location is fantastic, particularly when the tide is in. it provides a remote, special feeling. the amazing views were visible at every turn. it felt exhilarating to be on the island.

the suite was very clean with lots of character. there was a turndown service with chocolates on the pillows and a newsletter. the bed offered excellent sleep quality. i believe there aren't any tv screens in the rooms, nice.

dining in the grand ballroom felt special, it had black tie dress code. the food was amazing. a wine flight was available, and each course had explanations. the pianist took requests, and some guests danced.

totally awesome art deco experience!
attentive staff special feeling
the staff were attentive, and they thought of everything! i loved that they even suggested activities for us and. Everything was covered.
The radiator in my room was pretty rusty. The furniture showed some wear, too. accessing shampoo in the bath was difficult as it was locked away, it's a small thing, but it was a bit inconvenient.

the hotel provides secure parking on the mainland, and a 4x4 transfer is available. the mermaid pool is awesome for a refreshing swim before breakfast, and the black tie dinner had a very plush vibe. i totally recommend this place!!!

The avon grand suite includes a large separate bedroom and lounge. a long balcony offers views across the hotel and over the bathing pool. I loved the art deco style decor! the bed was very comfy.

I appreciated the dedication to historical details. our room had luxurious amenities. It enhanced our experience greatly.
The wifi signal was somewhat weak in certain areas of the hotel. This caused minor inconvenience.
