Solid Hotel Experience

quick check-infriendly staffspacious roomlimited choices
My check-in was quick , and the staff was helpful. I had a pleasant surprise to find a spacious and clean twin room. The bathroom was also spacious and very clean with both a bath and a shower.
The dining choices near the hotel were somewhat limited , which required a bit more planning for meals.

Good Value Stopover

smooth check-infree parkinggluten-free puddinghumming noise
The check in went smoothly. My room included both a double bed and a single bed. I found the room clean. The hotel offers free parking. Staff remembered my gluten free needs and prepared a nice pudding. Breakfast included a gluten-free bread and sausages.
The room looked a bit worn. I noticed some kind of machine running outside all night. It made a humming noise. I did find this noise a little disturbing.

we booked the hotel last minute. we asked for a twin room and received a family room for the same reasonable price. the chef cooked what we wanted at breakfast. he is a great character and ambassador for the hotel.
the heating was on constantly. it was easily mid 20's in the room. the radiator thermostat did not work, so i could not turn it off.

a good and romantic escape

The chef, david, shone. He accommodated my son's peanut allergy with such care! he ensured the salad was walnut-free and even prepared special kid-friendly options. the food tasted lovely with many choices. I enjoyed the leek and potato soup.
The apple juice machine dispensed only water during breakfast. This felt a little bit disappointing.
