wonderful stay!
accommodating hostsquality foodcomfortable beds
the hosts were very accommodating. i found good quality, well-priced food available (i especially liked the burgers). the beds were very comfortable and the room included tea and coffee making facilities.
I noted slight wear on some of the furniture. it was minor.

My twin room was a good size and very clean upon arrival. the room also included complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. This was a welcome addition after a long day exploring the countryside. the bed was comfortable with crisp fresh linens.

the staff were very friendly and helpful (even with my late arrival). they provided useful recommendations for local walks and attractions. the check-in process was quick and efficient, and i received a warm welcome.

i visited the hotel with my dog for a few nights, and she felt welcomed everywhere, even during meals. The room was super clean, and the bed provided excellent comfort. Breakfast impressed me with its quality, i consider returning here next time.
I would have liked a bit more space in the shower room for hanging towels, that's all.

The hotel features a beautiful building and easily accessible local attractions, such as Hadrian's Wall, so many things to visit. rooms are double aspect. They provide good views, notably over a pond that shelters geese.

the location was quite nice. the staff treated me like family, i must say. my dog enjoyed having free roam, and it. the breakfast was amazing!!!
The shower room lacked a proper towel rack. A minor inconvenience, but worth noting.

the complimentary water, both still and sparkling, was a nice touch. the breakfast was excellent (a 10/10, really).
The room was very warm. there was no space in the shower room to hang towels. That was inconvenient.
