“The medieval architecture blended with modern spa facilities certainly creates a unique atmosphere. While some past visitors noted issues with room quality and responsiveness, the award-winning dining and extensive grounds, including a rose garden and proximity to Climping Beach, still seem worth the trip. I would consider a visit focusing on the spa and outdoor experience.”

Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Bailiffscourt Hotel & Spa is frequently lauded for its charming and quirky character, situated right on the stoney beach, with grounds looking beautiful in the sunshine. Many guests enjoyed the spacious rooms, with some, like Sherbrooke, featuring very comfortable beds, roll top baths, and even real log fires. Dining experiences are often highlighted, particularly dinner and breakfast served outside in the courtyard, and the delicious afternoon tea in the garden; though some have noted that the outdoor pool can get a bit busy. it is considered a wonderful choice for special occasions and relaxing stays.

dusty furnitureunwashed curtains
Our room felt overpriced. it's an old building, so the furniture was meant to reflect that. however, it just felt old and dusty. the net curtains looked like they hadn't ever been washed (i know, i know, dogs welcome and all that). the room was dark and very cold. Even with the heating on full blast, it took all night to warm up.

fantastic stay!

unique houseswonderful staffexcellent foodoutdated decor
the hotel is split into several unique houses and i stayed in the building that houses the restaurant. the staff were wonderful and the food was excellent i enjoyed every meal. the swimming pools offered great relaxation i swam in both indoor and outdoor pools. i cannot wait to return soon
i felt that the room decor seemed a little outdated the furniture looked poorly maintained. the sofas showed signs of wear and tear that did impact the aesthetic appeal. it would be great to see some updates to these areas
